OC Public Libraries Presents Comic Orange 2025

Tustin, Calif. (May 3, 2025) – OC Public Libraries is pleased to present Comic Orange 2025. This year’s annual event is on Saturday May 10th from 11:00am-3:00pm at the Tustin Library. Comic Orange promotes literacy in our community by highlighting our graphic novel collections, celebrating comics, and engaging the community by offering an annual family-friendly event. This year will feature an author talk with Jarret J. Krosoczka, creator of the Lunch Lady graphic novels, at 11:00am and a cookbook demo with Jarrett Melendez, author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Cookbook, at 12:00pm. In addition, there will be an artist alley, fan groups, storytime, podcast panel, and a special limited edition library card for all guests. No registration is required.

 

 

Presentations during Comic Orange 2025: 

 

11:00 a.m. | Author Talk: Jarret J. Krosoczka 

Meet award-winning, New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of more than forty books for young readers including the graphic memoir Hey, Kiddo and the Lunch Lady graphic novels. 

 

12:00 p.m. | Cookbook Demo: Jarret Melendez 

Meet the author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Cookbook. Jarret has worked in restaurants, diners, and bakeries throughout New England and Mexico. 

 

1:00 p.m. | Podcast Panel 

Richard and Sarah Woloski, creators of Skywalking Through Neverland, and Rosie Knight, co-Host of X-Ray Vision, will share their personal experiences in podcasting and provide tips and tricks. 

 

2:00 p.m. | Kids Can Cosplay 

Join Kids Can Cosplay for an educational panel about what cosplay is and how to get started with your own cosplay ideas.
