We’re thrilled to announce that exciting changes are happening at the La Habra Library!

The library closed in May 2025 and is expected to take approximately 24 months to complete.

OC Public Libraries was awarded funding from the California State Library’s Building Forward Library Facilities Improvement Program. This equity-based grant program helps pay for capital projects for public library buildings that address critical maintenance needs, improve energy efficiency and sustainability, extend digital access, and expand physical access to library facilities.

The project will transform the library space into a more accessible, sustainable, and community-focused hub. The renovation will improve ADA accessibility, expand areas for studying and programming, and reimagine the layout to better serve today's library users. Upgrades will include energy-efficient systems, new lighting, modern furniture, fresh paint, and key mechanical improvements, all designed with sustainability and inclusivity in mind. The goal is to create a welcoming, safe environment that reflects the evolving needs of the La Habra community.

Check back for updates!

Library items may be returned to any OCPL branch. For a list of locations, visit the libraries page.
