SERVICE UPDATE: Grab & Go Service and New Curbside Pickup Hours

To Our Patrons and Community:

The health and wellness of our OC Public Libraries’ staff and customers is our main concern. Based on recommendations from the County of Orange and in concurrence with guidelines issued by the Governor of the state of California to limit the number of people in a public building and to help curtail further spread of COVID-19 in our communities, OC Public Libraries is pleased to offer Grab & Go service starting September 22. Bookdrops and contactless curbside pickup are still available.

Metered occupancy access for Grab & Go service:

  • Designated self-service checkout of holds and popular items
  • Physically distanced single-user computers by reservation for one-hour sessions
  • For safety purposes, staff and visitors must wear face masks and maintain safe physical distancing
  • Contactless curbside pickup service will continue.  

Grab & Go Service Hours:

Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

New hours for Curbside Pickup Service:

Tuesday-Thursday, 12 to 6 p.m. and Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

*Laguna Woods and Laguna Hills Technology Libraries will continue with curbside pickup service only from Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In this interim time there are many ways you can still connect with our library services. OC Public Libraries’ robust digital services give library card holders 24/7 free access to ebooks, audiobooksmagazinesmovies, resources and more. You can also enjoy virtual programming at 

Friends of the Library Bookstores are all closed. Bookstores are not accepting donations at this time.
