Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Collected

OC Public Libraries collects personally identifiable information for issuing library cards:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • License or other ID number

Access to personally identifiable information is restricted to authorized employees checking out library items, processing requests, and answering account questions.

For services involving sensitive data like credit card information, our library application encrypts all ordering details, including names and credit card numbers. This encryption ensures the confidentiality and protection of such information.
