For deaths prior to January 1, 1987, you can check the Orange County Register on microfilm. It is available at the following branches:
· Irvine Heritage Park:
February 1970 – Current (with the exception of Nov 21-30, 2002; Feb 14-28, 1985; Apr 1-10, 1988; Nov 1-10, 2006; and Jun 6-10, 2007)
· Garden Grove Main:
Orange County Daily Register: May 1919 – June 1943; Orange County Register: Jan 1986 – 2015
