eCards

Residents of Orange County can get an eCard by registering online. An eCard provides access to online databases and downloadable eMedia. It may not be used to borrow, place holds on material from the library, nor is it valid for use of the public Internet computers at the libraries. Patrons who already have an OC Public Libraries card already have this access and do not need an eCard. You may upgrade your eCard for full privileges by calling one of our libraries. County of Orange employees who do not live in the County are able to use their work address to obtain an eCard.

Patrons can access the eResources Overdrive, Freegal and RBDigital with future eResources to be added. This card type will not allow patrons to checkout physical items, place holds, or use the computers.

Patron will be emailed their eCard number, if the email is valid. If email is invalid or there is an issue with your account, please contact esupport.esupport@occr.ocgov.com or contact the branch of your choice.

If a patron registers for both an eCard and a regular card online, you will be contacted on which one you prefer. You may also contact the branch of your choice and they can provide you access to your account.

Patrons who wish to change from an eCard to a full-service card may do so by calling their local branch
