RUBY’S READER RECOGNITION

Ruby’s Diner Reader Recognition program takes place during the Month of May at the Mary Wilson Library. During this time, children may earn an award certificate for a free child’s meal by reading five library books. Children ages 12 and under are eligible to participate. Sign up at the library for this fun reading program.

Join the Summer Reading Program in Seal Beach. Readers of all ages are invited to participate in Catch the Reading Bug @ the Mary Wilson Library. The program runs from June 23rd through August 11th. 

Join us on Mondays at 3:30 for free family programs sponsored by the Friends of the Mary Wilson Library and the Seal Beach Host Lions. All programs take place in the Seal Beach Senior Center Community Room adjacent to the library. No strollers in the community room please.

Toddler Story Times
Mondays at 11:30, June 2 - August 11
Tuesdays at 11:30, June 3 - August 12
Children ages 0 – 3 and their caregivers are invited to participate in this 30-minute program featuring rhymes, rhythm, stories and songs. Walk-ins are welcome.

Preschool Story Time
Wednesdays at 9:30, June 4 - August 13
Children ages 3 - 6 and their caregivers are invited to participate in this 30-minute program featuring stories, flannel boards, finger plays and songs. Walk-ins are welcome.

The Library is now recruiting Teen Volunteers to help with the Summer Reading Program. Applications are available at the reference desk. To participate, teens must be at least 12 years old or entering grade six in the fall. All volunteers are expected to attend one of the June orientation meetings.
