An intelligent, moving and beautiful portrait of Sabine, a 38-year-old autistic woman, is filmed by her sister, the famous French actress Sandrine Bonnaire.  Through personal footage filmed over a period of 25 years, it is revealed that Sabine’s growth and many talents were crushed by improper diagnosis and an inadequate care structure.  After a tragic five-year stay in a psychiatric hospital, Sabine finally finds a new lease on life, in a home together with other young people.

Parent Workshop
One Wednesday evening each month will feature a Parent Workshop during storytime!  These workshops present fun learning activities for families with children under the age of 5.  The whole family is invited for activities and storytime.  Each child attending receives a free book!  Funded by Early Literacy for Families grant, presented by the Orange County Public Libraries and READ.

Imagination Celebration is an annual event presented by Arts Orange County and the Orange County Department of Education.  The library is participating by displaying artwork created by children in the community ages 0-14.   Come and enjoy the creativity!

 Soccer Mom Secrets
—Authors Rachel Gunther and Judy Holstein will be on hand to discuss and sign their new book Soccer Mom Secrets, a work of fiction depicting the trials and tribulations of three south Orange County soccer moms, as they guide their kids through the demanding world of youth soccer.  Rachel and Judy will also talk about the pros and cons of kids' participation in sports at a young age and the pressures that go along with that lifestyle, as they have witnessed first hand. 
 A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Soccer Mom Secrets is going toward “Heart Beats”--whose goal is to provide enough funds to donate Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) and training classes to every high school athletic department in Southern California.
