Special Collections

The Tustin Branch Library is designated as the African- American History library as well as having special collections in the area of Baseball and Photography. These special collections are not separated out but are shelved in the general collection by their Dewey Decimal numbers.

Additionally we provide: Business Reference and Career and Job Information. We also have SIRS Researcher CD-Rom.

SIRS

SIRS Researcher is a general reference CD-ROM with thousands of full text articles on social, scientific, historic, economic, political, and global issues. Sources include more than 1,200 newspapers, magazines, journals, and government publications.

Children's Programs

Throughout the year Tustin Branch Library has various activities for children including:
  • A Summer Reading Program
  • Preschool storytime
  • And special craft activities.

Friends of the Tustin Library

The Friends of the Tustin Branch Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Tustin Branch through volunteer labor and fund raising activities. The Friends are always looking for new members.

The Tustin Friends of the Library Bookstore is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
The Friends welcome your tax deductible donations of used books.
The Friends Board meeting is held the first Monday of the Month at 1:00pm in the Community Room of the Tustin Library. The Friends do not meet during the months of July and August.

Volunteers

The Tustin Library welcomes community volunteers of all ages. Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of tasks including:

  • processing new books
  • returning materials to their proper places on the shelves
  • repairing books
  • covering and labeling books
  • light housekeeping
  • assisting at storytimes and craft sessions.
