UNIVERSITY PARK LIBRARY'S EVENTS PAGE

The Irvine University Park Library is located on 4512 Sandburg Way in the heart of Irvine. The library has been serving the local Irvine community since 1975. It is conveniently located near several schools, including University High, Rancho San Joaquin Middle School, University Park Elementary and Village Montessori. It is also close to Concordia University, the Univeristy of California, Irvine and the Irvine Barclay Theatre. There is also plenty of shopping nearby, including the Saturday Farmer’s Market near UCI.

The library serves a diverse population and maintains a large collection of foreign materials in Chinese, Persian, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Spanish and a small selection in other languages. Materials include books for children and adults, videos, DVDs, music cds and some newspapers and magazines.

Computers are available for patrons to easily access library databases and the catalog. Free Wifi/wireless access and over a dozen computers with Internet access, or programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher offer the public convenient ways of access to electronic resources.

Friendly and professional library staff offer assistance in finding a good book to read, assisting with research queries, and accessing electronic information. Storytime, craft activity days, and other programs for families are offered in the Children’s Room.

Offering used books at reasonable prices, the Friends of the Library Bookstore is conveniently located next to the library parking lot. The free book section is especially popular! We appreciate your donations of books as all proceeds benefit the library.

We welcome you to stop in and check out the Irvine University Park Library.
