Library Features

Heritage Park Regional Library serves as one of the three regional libraries for the Orange County Public Library System. The Library offers a variety of resources and services with particular strengths in business, visual arts, and biographies. The Library has extensive electronic resources, Internet access, and a large collection of periodicals in print or microform.

The Children’s Department offers a wide range of books, materials, and programs for children of all ages.

The Friends of the Heritage Park Library operates a small bookstore that supports the Library.

Electronic Resources on CD-Rom at Heritage Park

Adult Databases:
There are currently no CD-ROM Databases available to the public now at Heritage Park (we're getting rid of the old computer that houses the insurance and AAA CD ROM databases).
The only CD-ROM databases that will now be available to the public at Heritage Park are the following:
Children's Databases
1. American Indian Multimedia Encyclopedia
Contains the full text of four reference sources no Native Americans as well as the full text of over 250 documents and treaties involving Native Americans since the 18th century. Information on over 150 tribes and cultures and over 100 stories and legends is also included.
2. Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing
Mavis Beacon teaches keyboarding and dictation, and measures typing speed and accuracy through a series of games and lessons.

Friends of the Heritage Park Library

The Friends of the Heritage Park Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the library through volunteer labor and the operation of a bookstore. New members are always welcome to the Friends of the Library (FOL).

The Heritage Park Library Bookstore is open 7 days a week. The hours of operation are:

  • Monday - Thursday 10- 8
  • Friday - Saturday 10- 4
  • Sunday 12- 4
    (Hours subject to volunteer availability.)

The FOL welcomes your donations of used books. (Donations may be tax deductible.)
